Nice EP from Leeds-based Tyre Marks here. The EP consists of 5 experimental tunes that sit on the edge, dipping their toes into the pool occasionally called "UK Bass".
"Compliment" could almost be described as Eski-Classical, while the track following that, "Casual Racism" sounds like a hidden track on Dusk & Blackdown's LP, Margins Music. "Shutters Down" has those relentless kicks that work things to a crescendo, and "Reading In Bed" a cut up, vaguely folk-y piece of electronica is the perfect antidote.
